The avant-garde jazz scene during the 60’s consisted of vocalists that often employed very creative styles. Some them even employed yodeling. Leon Thomas was a yodeler who produced the cut “China Doll” in 1972 . He had a bit of a meandering career  but is often noted as a major influence of the timeless James Moody. GLM has implemented a Friday tradition of posting retro cuts. Listen to China Doll by Leon Thomas. It is a stone cold groove that’s sure to put you in a mellow mood.
